Biography
Teresa comes to McKinley Carter with eight years of financial services experience. After many years of working at home to raise her children, Teresa reentered the workforce in 2008 as a licensed sales assistant for a financial services firm located in Imperial, PA. In this capacity, she worked directly with the firm’s owner and primary advisor to build and maintain client relationships. In addition to daily client care and service, she was responsible for processing investment transactions; generating client statements and tracking portfolio performance; coordinating the annual compliance audit; and creating and maintaining FINRA required reports. In 2014, Teresa earned the Series 7 license and transitioned to the broker dealer side of the industry by accepting a position as Manager of Investor Services with Atlas Energy. In this role, Teresa served as the point of escalation for calls from registered representatives, investors, and broker dealer back offices. She also reviewed trusts, wills, and other legal documents; coordinated and executed completion of time-sensitive deliverables; and developed and nurtured relationships with custodial back offices.
Teresa graduated cum laude from West Virginia University with a degree in social work. In 2009, she earned a certificate of accountancy from Robert Morris University.
Teresa was born and raised in Wheeling, WV. She and her husband Bryan now reside in Imperial, PA. Outside of work, Teresa is involved in a variety of organizations and community groups, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Western PA chapter, where she just completed her third term as Government Relations chairperson. Teresa and Bryan are parents to two children, Lauryn and Trent.
